PVC conduit can be heated with special tools so that it can be bent in the field. It routes and protects wire and cable, and adapts to curves and changes in direction. It can also be installed inside walls, floors, and ceilings. It can’t be used by itself for grounding, so a grounding conductor needs to be pulled along with the other conductors in the run.
